Having abolished Manchester, we do not yearn for a Lancashire of the past. In this, our ninth issue, we take a critical look back at former Northern "glories". We recognise the darkness of the mines and quality culture amassed, but challenge both in order to move ourselves forward. We cannot remain contextless.

Featuring our first commissioned cover artwork by Wigan artist MONS IGNEOUS, our sixth issue features: a retrospective view of influential band Buzzcocks, a heartfelt commemoration of a friend in Derek Meins' piece 'not the Bruce' and a dive into the archives as we take clippings of Leigh People's Paper. We've more reviews this time and feature poems, comics and artwork from a lovely group of Northern folk.

In our #5, we look at the films of The Urban Collective - urban explorers documenting the decay of Northern heritage - we throw some questions at up-and-coming Leigh band, DEAFDEAFDEAF, and take journeys in time and culture to Stockport and Sale respectively. Also featuring poetry, collage, photography and music from a range of wonderful creative people.

In this fourth issue we look back on 5 years of Preston record label Them There with an interview and birthday mix, speak with artists & creative directors of Wigan's cultural manifesto, AL AND AL, and feature Sarah Warburton's beautiful piece on the industrial detritus of Wigan's countryside. We've poems by Rob Simms and Tinderbox and artwork by a whole host of talented artists and photographers - borough and beyond...

Third issue of STAT and first of a new year. Featuring written pieces on the exacerbation of regional divides due to coronavirus (Conal Cunningham), the politics of our built environment (Pete Mercer), as well as Wigan artist, MONS IGNEOUS's, musings on the creative process and showcases of the Epic Luxe and this place [of mine] projects. As always we showcase poems, artwork, comedy from regional creatives and round-up 2020's music releases.
